TONDIRABA PARK
Modular Innovation in Harmony with Nature
In the summer of 2021, Kodumo collaborated with the main contractor, Tallinna Teede Aktsiaselts, to bring a touch of modernity to Tondiraba Park in Tallinn. Eight modular buildings, featuring three distinct types, seamlessly integrated into this vibrant 29-hectare green oasis, marking a milestone in the park's transformation.

Modular Diversity: The modular structures, crafted in our Vasalemma factory, include three units dedicated to park amenities and park attendants' workplaces, four modules serving as public restrooms, and a charming café module. The uniqueness of our concrete foundation technology allowed us to install the buildings close to the ground, facilitating wheelchair access without the need for additional ramps or terraces.
Efficiency in Installation: All eight modular buildings, embodying the essence of Kodumo's craftsmanship, were transported and installed in just one day. This minimally disrupted the surrounding environment and the lives of those in proximity, showcasing the efficiency and precision of our modular construction approach.
Tondiraba Park Highlights: Situated on the former Tondiraba bog in Lasnamäe, Tondiraba Park is the largest and most contemporary park in the Baltics, covering 29 hectares. Amidst the natural beauty of preserved forests, small water bodies, and diverse flora and fauna, the park introduces a green corridor to Lasnamäe.
Preserving Nature, Enhancing Experience: The park integrates seamlessly with its natural surroundings, preserving existing forests and small water bodies. A diverse range of flora, including 32 species of trees and shrubs, was added. Notable features include three bridges offering immersive views of wildlife and a specially designed bridge to preserve the habitat of pond-dwelling newts.
Active Recreation and Amenities: Tondiraba Park caters to diverse interests, featuring over 5.7 hectares dedicated to sports and playgrounds. With 10 kilometers of jogging and forest trails, the park offers an array of recreational facilities, including a skatepark, pumptrack, dog parks, volleyball swings, barbecue spots, and a bike service point.
